I am 18 years old and I'm from the Netherlands. I like Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Tom Hiddleston, Benedict Cumberbatch and a lot more. This is a multifandom blog so enjoy my randomness

#You know what I love about Vastra? #how ACCEPTING she is #even though she’s a far more advanced race #with psychic powers and unknown intelligence #she’s learned to love people and aliens for who they are and not for what they lack #instead of ignoring Clara or discounting her interest in what she assumed were advertisements #Vastra acknowledges Clara and engaged her in conversation #she could have easily rolled her eyes or #changed the subject to something else #or just looked down on her because she COULD #but she doesn’t #she meets her on her level #and that’s what she did with Jenny #and Strax #and that’s how a rejected lizard woman found a family… #Vastra could have easily become a bitter reptilian for everything she had gone through #shunned #called deformed… #but instead #through her suffering #she chose empathy (via riveralwaysknew)

  • Favorite thing about this scene: the Doctor acknowledging his part in sending a companion mixed signals instead of blaming their response to his signals on irrational human-ness (and femaleness). Now go back and say this to Martha, Doctor, preferably with an actual “I’m sorry.”
  • Least favorite thing about this scene: fandom missing the point and continuing to insist that Clara’s a horrible shallow person who just wanted Eleven to be her boyfriend and dislikes Twelve because of that

Overture to a post.

SS Marie Antoinette. Out of control repair Droids, cannibalizing human beings. I know this is familiar, but I just can’t seem to place it. Sister Ship of the Madame De Pompadour. Nope, not getting it.

geekalogian:

also can we talk about the fact that Clara Oswald doesn’t have to be “tough” to be brave

Like she is crying and shaking and openly admits that she’s terrified

but she still stands her ground and refuses to yield and trusts that the Doctor will come for her

and I just really appreciate showing that kind of strength because that’s not a kind of strength that gets portrayed a lot

A lot of people are apparently getting pissy about Vastra and Jenny kissing….

like…really?

THERE IS A BALLOON MADE OF HUMAN SKIN AND ROBOTS KILLING PEOPLE AND TAKING THEM APART AND HARVESTING THEIR ORGANS BUT A LESBIAN KISS IS TOO MUCH FOR THE KIDS?????
